DS2 had a rash, it started behind his knee and then it began to spread. I thought: slapped cheek or a rash, and gp says it is APEC Asymmetric Periflexural Exanthem of Childhood, a "fairly" new childhood illness, similar to slapped cheek (similar virus) and that will soon be included in the typical childhood club with scarlet fever, measles, rubella, roseola.
GP said it is quite common and very often misdiagnosed.
So, what is this APEC? Did any of your DC get it?
