calprofen and calpol...

Hi,

My 6 month old has a fever which isn't settling, anyone know if its ok to give both calpol and calprofen together?

Yes you can. One is paracetamol and the other ibuprofen.
I always found ibuprofen to work better at bringing down a temp so I always start there, then top up with a calpol.
As long as there is at least 4 hours between the same meds, he'll be fine.

you can stagger the doses so you keep the pain relief more constant e.g. calpol, then 2 hours later give calprofen, 2 hours later give calpol, etc
