DS2 is 2yr 9m. He has lactose intollerance, so in on soya products. If he has an attack it is usually short lived, as I am very strict about what he can/cant have (but accidents happen at nursery/his dads)

He woke up Monday morning with loose stools. Very loose - very watery. He still has them tonight.

I have cut everything out of his diet apart from water, dry cereal, toast, rice, scrambled eggs, apple and plain biscuits.

However, nothing seems to be helping. He's fine in himself, eating well when he is, drinking lots of water and playing a lot. In fact if it werent for the 2 loose ones this morning and another 2 tonight I would think he was fine.

Should I worry after this long? He's not dehydrated or anything, but should diahorrea last this long?

Thanks

My DS had horrific diarrhoea for about 8 weeks - ended up with the most awful nappy rash and a trip to A&E. GP said it would pass and it did - eventually. You could try kids probiotic powders to help his intestinal flora.

where do I get the probiotic powders Rumpel? DS1 and myself have probiotic yogurt drinks when we've been ill, but with his lactose problems DS2 cant have them.

Its weird, as I cant decide if its a bug or just toddler diarrhea. If it were a bug, surely DS1 or I would have it? And he would be ill, as opposed to fine? Its almost like when I have an IBS attack.

Here Solgar are fab and these are non dairy;

Yep I have IBS too so was worried when DS got it but no idea what it was TBH, I give them multi-vits and essential fatty acids every day now. Hope he feels better soon. Think my DD may have slapped cheek - you got any experience with that by chance?

brilliant, thanks Rumpel. Have managed to find a couple of similar powders on the local chemist website too, so will pop out tomorrow and try and grab some.

sadly I have no experience of slapped cheek. have you done a search on recent threads, sure its been discussed on here before.
