Temperature since Saturday

DD (age 6) has had a temp since Sat.

She was better yesterday though still pale and not eating. Bad cold symptoms.

Relapse today, on sofa and only eaten half a bagel.

Is this normal/ok? Should I be worrying that it is going on this long?

She is very good, no puking, no whingeing, and just sleeping it off!

DD (5) had something very similar last week missed the whole of the christmas parties lunches etc that happen.

It was a full 7 days before her temp stopped yo-yoing, but she still has a cough, and she has kindly given something to me (I think it's the same thing I haven't been sick she was, but felt really really unsettled)

Not pleasant and especially not before christmas hope your DD(s) feel better soon

DD (5) had something similar, been ill for a week - very high temperature (39 to 40.6 celsius), very congested, sore ear (I expect ear infection as she is prone to get them), little bit of a cough and off food - luckily she was happy to sip water. Yesterday she still had low fever (38.5) and today none and since yesterday she is eating like a horse. Now I am ill, low fever, extremely tired, muscle aches, ear ache on one side, off food ... And we are expecting guests tomorrow ... Will just be DH and DD, I think I stay out of the way in bed.

In your case, Doris, could it be swine flu? My understanding is that with swine flu you have the yo-yo ing temperature and a cough and fatigue but no nasal congestion.

Hope everybody will get better soon!
