Any idea whether dark shadows under eyes could mean there is some vitamin/mineral deficiency or whether it means I need to get her checked out?

She has a mild cold, but otherwise nothing that is concerning me.

My ds had this - my GP told me it was common in children who may be predisposed to allergies. Ds had hayfever when younger so made sense.

Thanks - that would make sense, since DH and I both get hayfever Sad

I really hope she never develops any

The skin is thinner there and if the store of fat cells get used up - eg tired - then that's why you get shadows.

Don't know why they'd be permanently dark, though - cornyPrawns could well be right.

although mine are quite dark (always have been) and I have no allergies....

My ds has purple eyes, I've always thought it's because he's very very pale.
