Very strong selling wee

I'm convinced that DD's (2.5 years) wee is unusually strong smelling. For example, when she was potty training, she wee'd on a rug and we had to throw it away as, despite after being cleaned and left on the line in fresh air for a couple of weeks, the smell was still there. Her knickers this evening smelled bad too, and she hadn't even wet herself.

She seems to drink plenty, and wee's regularly, so I don't think she's dehydrated. Does anyone know what could be causing this, please?

Thank you!
