Swollen eye lid?

Anyone's DC ever had this. DD has been complaining of a sore eye for a few days but this morning her eye lid is all swollen, there is no sign of any scratch, spots etc.

I've given her some antihistamine (sp?) and we have had the eye pack on it but it has made no difference. Don't know whether to take her to the doctors or give it a few days?

DD woke up one morning with one eyelid so swollen she could not open her eye. It really looked like she had been punched! I took her to the gp - it was an eye infection that required antibiotics.

Please take your DD to the gp. If it is an infection, then not treating it quickly enough can cause permanent damage.
