Quick is there anything they can do for possible broken fingers?

Dd2 (3) has trapped her fingers in the door, ske has pulled the skin off two of them but one looks really swollen and she says she cannot move the top joint and it hurts to try and move the rest of it.

I have strapped it to her good finger with plasters and gave Calpol she is crying every time we mention doctors as she doesn't want them to touch her fingers.

I'll have to let work know within the next ten minutes if I have to take her to hospital.

I would pop to a and e as if the bones are broken but not in a straight line, it may need some treatment.

Good chance they will just strap it though.

Yes, you should.
They may need setting, I guess.

I would take her to a and e if I were you. However, when my ds broke his finger as a baby they didn;t do anything - they said when they are very little you shouldn't strap them up because they are likely to fiddle with the strapping and make things worse.

Arm yourself with as many chocolate buttons as you can carry and take her to hospital. Good luck!

Yes you should take her to A and E

I've phoned work. Just getting her ready now. She can't even get her top on because it hurts her when her fingers touch the sleeve. Bless her.

She is currently eating Galaxy Minstrals and petting the cat with her elbow.

Poor wee lamb, hope she feels better soon!

We're back, nothing is broken but they seemed concerned about the cuts on her fingers which have had to be cleaned and dressed with anti spetic gauze and plasters. We have to keep them clean and dry and watch out for infection.

She is still whinging a bit but seems a bit happier

Hope she is even better today, glad nothing was broken!
