tonsillitis following pre school boosters and 2nd MMR?

any advice greatfully recieved!

ds (3) seems to have developed tonsillitis today after having his vaccinations on thursday. I think its tonsillitis as it looks like the tonsil area is red, swollen and spongy looking. He has a temp of 38.2 as of 3.45pm and has just had some neurofen. I'm waiting for a return GP call as they have no appointments left today.

is this a common response to the vaccines? the dr who is phoning back is always a wait and see type....ds1 had a lump under his chin when he was three and we waited to see what happened and he ended up having his lymph glands removed!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I think this is coincidence not reaction to the vaccine. There are a lot of viral bugs around at this time of year.
