9mo heart scan - Any tips?

Dd2 has a heart scan this week as she has a heart murmur.

How do I make sure she is still for half an hour? She is very curious and wont sit still for long at all. I will take toys, dummy, her drink, books etc.

Has anyone been to one? Any tips?

Mama - dd has had lots of hert scans (Echo). The staff are pretty experienced at scanning wriggly 9 month olds Smile My dd used to find them quire relaxing and would sometimes fall asleep. You sounds like you'll be quite well prepared. Sometimes they have a dvd player in the scan room so you take something shemight watch although she's probably a bit young.

Good luck with it and if they do find something, please post back and I can offer you some support.

aaah my dd is not be amused by anything but electical equiptment..during her heart scans..Her last one was at 8 1/2 months..Insistant on ripping all the wires off but the hospital was very good about it in fact i think she was given a stethoscope to play with witch she quite enjoyed...They seemed to get a perfect reading anyway...sorry not much help..Hope your dd is ok xx

Thanks both. I took her for a head scan the other day and they were useless! I am hoping today will be better!
