weepy eye ? needs surgery

my daughter is 13 months old and since birth had had a weepy runny eye. had some antibiotic drops then the doc thought it was hayfever n now 13 months on they sending us to see a surgeon ? a blocked tear duct..anyone else know about this? will it get better on it down..

My mum had these - first they try dilating and flushing it, and then she had surgery to make a new one - very straightforward

mmmmm ok, ali ( my little one) seems so small for any kind of surgery n it makes me feel really worried
