Chickenpox aftermath

DS2 (3.5) is covered in chicken pox, we're on the 5/6th day now so spots are starting to dry.

Just wondering about how to treat the skin afterwards to best help with the scaring. Thought crossed my mind to use 'bio-oil'. Has anyone used it for this, or have you any thoughts?

I'd say you don't need to worry too much about scarring at that age. Neither of my two has any trace of a chickenpox scar.

The only scars any of mine have are those on ds1 where the spots got infected.

I have vaguely heard of people using bio-oil, but actually I've no idea what that is ...

Me and the twins have scars from our bout in February. This was because I accidentally took a scab off with my hairbrush...and both the girls picked at 1 particular scab right towards the end.

So the moral is don't pick or accidentally take the scabs off!
