My six year old DD still has a terrible issue with the toilet and am desperately worried about her and would appreciate any help, advice or support anyone could offer?
She refuses to go all day at school and is absolutely bursting when she comes home.
We have spoken to the teacher who in turn has spoken to my daughter, but she clams up and wouldn't discuss it with the teacher, who has since suggested us seeing the school nurse when she is next in. Which to me is no use whatsoever!
My daughter also refuses to go at home unless we help her with her clothing and still uses a stool, insert seat and refuses to use the toilet roll.
Unless we help her, she either doesn't go until she has an accident, becomes terribly upset or kicks all her clothes off and refuses to do anything else.
Obviously we have the same problem when we are out, but since July have managed to convince her to sit on the toilet seat with either me or her Daddy holding her.
Clearly the school issue is a huge huge problem, especially if we want to take her anywhere straight after school and she has just asked to be enrolled in a dance class which starts straight after school finishes and I just know that she will still either hold on and not enjoy her dance class or end up having an accident which will of course mortify her.
I honestly think that this is hugely hindering her performance at school and enjoyment of lessons as it is always on her mind about the fullness of her bladder.
Please can anyone help me help her???
