I'm a bit concerned that my 15 month old is barely having a wet nappy during the daytime. His nappy is really heavy with wee first thing in the morning, and wet in the evening, but very often he barely needs changing in between. He does about one sloppy poo per day. He seems otherwise totally fine, eats loads, sleeps well etc. He drinks about 8oz oat milk at breakfast time (he's off cow's milk at the moment to see if it makes his poo less sloppy) and about the same before bed, and is offered water throughout the day but barely drinks any of it - he likes to play around with the cup but the amount in it doesn't really go down. I've tried him with watered down juice but he's similarly not interested.

My childminder brought it up today as well as she went to change him at lunchtime and there was nothing in it at all. How can that be if he's drinking 8oz at 8am??

I am planning on checking with the doc but wondered if anyone else has experience of this.

Have you tried a variety of juices, Fruit ice lollies. Even give lots of fruit and cucumber to keep him hydrated.
From suffering so mnay water infections when younger I know that the shade of your pee can indicate if you are having enough fluids. Almost clear is very good and the darker it gets the more fluids you should have - not sure if it works the same for infants though.
