Talk to me about poo...

My 12 week old exclusively booby fed baby is behaving strangely. Sorry to be graphic, but she usually poos a bright yellow/orangey foamy thing about once or twice a day.
Yesterday she hardly fed at all and today she has done about 5 poos in an hour, and they were all dark green/black and sticky. Almost like meconium.
What's going on? Should we call the gp?

Any time you could describe a poo as black I think you should see the doc and take a nappy with you as that shouldn't happen after very early weeks. That said, I discovered we get very frequent, dark olivey green poos with my b/f son (which sounds like what you're describing) if I ate any sort of fish - so could be a similar reaction to something in your diet (and it would take a good few days to stop).

It actually only lasted about 4 hours and she seems fine again now. It wasn't at all oily, it was sticky like tar. Very odd.
