What is the best lice treatment

By "best" I mean most effective. Don't really care so much about cost (within reason) or if it has chemicals.

I prefer to comb through with conditioner and a nitty gritty nit comb. Has to be done every couple of days until clear but worth the effort.

nitty gritty comb it's the only thing that removes the eggs - half of the chemicals don't kill them despite their claims.

I used Hedrin for dd, followed by two weeks of nitty gritty combing every other day. I now comb twice weekly.

Also, buy a clear, non creamy shampoo, a clear one as it takes some getting off your hair.

We have used Lyclear but the lice were still alive and well when we combed/shampooed the lyclear out. So, I think the chemicals didn't do their job.

Hopefully we have combed most of them out and will use headrin tonight.

Nit comb and a large bottle of conditioner.

In the end I decided a buzz cut worked best when my DS were small!

DD would die if I told her she was getting a buzz cut. Although it might amuse me in an evil mummy kind of way.

DD brought "friends" home from nusery and shared with me.DH bought Derbac M.Not sure if I didnt put enough on but im still pulling live beasties off me and shes scratting like a crazy woman!Do I have to wait the week before trying again or should I just comb out.Ive got a plastic two sided nit comb from Wilkos.Do I need wet hair too?New to all this ,I howled when my brother got them at school and I didnt !

Those plastic combs are no where near as good as a nitty gritty comb. It's the best £10 I have ever spent.

I use cheap plastic nit combs, but get white ones that way you can see the lice on the comb.
Use lots of conditioner and repeat every couple of days until you don't find anymore, then carry on combing twice a week.
