Toothie Pegs....Do they still exist???

My DD (11 MONTHS) is having a bad time with teething. I've tried gells, powders, teething rings (frozen and not) even some thing that looks like a dummy in the shape of gums that was £6.50 worth of total rubbish..My mum told me about something called toothie pegs but she wasn't sure if they still existed and may have been some sort of health hazard..DD is biting everything she can including me and she already has 6 teeth...
Any ideas on toothie pegs or an eqivilent..???
