UTI symptoms in baby???

DD has a non functioning kidney and has been on antibiotics since birth. Today i got a funny whiff from her nappy so tried to get a sample from her. I got a teeny sample so will have to try tomorrow again.
My question is does anyone have any experience with UTI's in babies? How do the symptoms present themselves?
Her consultant said a high temp and bad form, but this is all fine.
Any other symptoms?

Ds had a UTI at 6 months old.

He had very high temp, vomiting, lack of interest in fluids and very strong smelling urine when he did go, had some quite dry nappies. He nappy also had dark brown/reddish stains that indicated blood in his urine.

They took the urine sample from a pad in his nappy when we had to take him in to be seen. But that was a pad on all night...was about 13 hours before he went.
