YS aged 2 has done a few vile nappies in the last 2 days. He's got a runny nose and bit of a cough. Dribbly but is also teething.

On Monday ES went to tea with a friend. On Tuesday the friend came out in a chickenpox rash and fever.

ES has already had chickenpox. But could he carry the virus back home and give it to YS?

Only concerned as if so wish to avoid next weeks plans to visit ill relative.

I think maybe he could be a carrier but really am not sure. Hopefully someone better qualified will be along soon

No, I think your son will be okay ..

I think (googling it today) that a child picks up the pox only if he is in direct contact with the carrier of the virus ...

If your son's friend had a cold, and your son had immunity to it (already had the cold) then it would be unlikely that your other son would suffer or be exposed to the cold virus - IYSWIM ....
