Anyone else had this? Ds was born with lots of fine hair (enough that I could tie a bow on the top of his head!) and now it's falling out! Lots of hairs left on his cot and pram sheets where his little head has been.

I am not worried about as am presuming it's his fine baby hairs coming out to be replaced with thicker hair? Bit early though is'nt it?

Maybe life's a bit too stressful in our house for him Grin.

Yeah it does that - some of them are born with a full head of hair and then end up little baldies for a while till a new lot grows in. DS OTOH just had a bald patch on the back on his head Grin

Does he have any cradle cap? That seemed to be what caused my DS1's hair to fall out at about 16 weeks. But it started to regrow quite quickly and by about 9/10 months he had a lovely shiny mop of blonde hair!

My DS was born with a head of fluffy black hair and it started to fall out around 12 weeks I think, it had regrown totally by 9 months, cows licks and all :o, not sure why but ASFAIK it's normal.

BTW :o at stressful household...

Sounds normal to me. Both mine were born with fine dark hair, lost most of it around 2-4 months, and it grew back thick and blonde (and curly in one case).
