has anyone ever used herbal remedies for their children and would you use them again?

did they have any side effects?

I would honestly advise you to avoid herbal remedies with children. Some of them can be very toxic to the liver and cause untold damage...dont assume herbal means safe...most remedies havent been through any of the stringent safety tests conventional drugs undergo and can be seriously dangerous.

which herbal remedies are you talking about? Something like echinacea would be considered herbal but it is safe for children and we have used it successfully but there are others out there that I wouldn't be too sure about!

Echinacea is associated with skin rash in children.
And in stomach upsets in all ages.

More importantly, the dosage of any therapy is difficult to gauge accurately. Children aren't just little adults, they have different body compositions and metabolic rates.

Most herbal remedies have no information basis for child use.
