My 4 month old son's willy balloons when he urinates

Has anyone ever heard of this? My son had a wee in the bath this morning and his willy ballooned, seriously I thought it was going to pop! I have heard somewhere that it could be caused by a tight foreskin? Will it correct over time or will he need to be circumcised? It doesn't cause him distress, but I don't want his willy getting infected. [Confused]

My son is 3yrs6mths and his balloons a little to when he wees. I think it is down to tight foreskin. I'm imagining that it will stretch with time. Though i may mention it to gp next time we're there.

My son has this (he's 5yrs now). It is because their foreskin doesn't retract. It is fine as long as they don't start getting any infections under the foreskin. We saw a consultant about it a few months ago about it. She said basically they wouldn't want to circumcise him until he's at least 10yrs. She also said to encourage him as he gets older to push the foreskin back a bit (her words 'until it stings a bit') when he's in the bath. Obviously not to hurt himself but just to stretch it out. It used to be much more common to circumcise younger but they are steering away from that now. HTH.

My ds used to have this now, but aged 4 he became able to pull his foreskin back and hasn't stopped since Hmm. I this this is thanks to his dedicated fiddling and pulling
