Rash. Should I take him to the GP?

DS is 9 months old. Had a high fever (40degrees +) and runny nose on Saturday and had a faint rash that faded when his temp came down. I spoke to NHS direct at the time and took him to see the pharmacists as suggested (when we got there the rash was gone.)

The fever subsided yesterday and he was back to his old self. He has been absolutely fine today, cheery and playing happily, but I noticed at his bath time that the rash is back. It is a very fine pinky-red rash, mainly on his back but also on his legs and tummy.

Should I take him to see the GP? (or is she just gonna say 'It is a non-specific viral rash?)

Besides for the rash he is the picture of health and I am not really worried about him

I have swooped Comfort Pure for Fairy conditioner but that was much earlier in the week.

Do you think I should keep him at home if it is still there?

It is very common with viral infections for the rash to come out after the worse of the symptoms (fever etc). If DS is well and it blanches, fades in a few day, no other symptoms - I wouldnt bother. Keep him home while it is still obvious though as I dont think a nursery would be impressed, otherwise fresh air will do him good.
