Do kids get moles?

DD (9) has a brown raised lump on her bum. Looks like a freckle apart from its raised and hard. She says its very itchy, like an insect bite. If its still itchy in a week or two should I take her to the GP? Thanks.

I have a mole on my waist that appeared when I was about 8, so yes, at least some kids (me and your DD Grin) get moles. Mine hasn't changed in 40 years, but yes, if it's still itchy in a while get your GP to have a look. Better safe and all that.:)

Itchy should be checked by the doctor.
I am very moley and my DDs all developed moles over several years. First ones appeared maybe at a year old.

Thanks, will see how it is next week and take her to the Dr if still itching.

Yes you can. However it sounds more like a plantar wart than a mole. Get it checked though.
