Toddler with high temp/cough/general flu symptoms

DD (2.6yo) has had a flu type thing since Tuesday. Constantly high temperature but it can be controlled by ibuprofen and paracetamol doubled up four hourly (well two hourly but alternately).

She has a cough and wants to sleep a lot although is happy to play quiet sitting down games and is VERY happy to watch tonnes of Peppa Pig. I did try and get a GP appointment but didn't manage it and had a conversation with OO GP on Tue night to ask about inhaler.

Is there anything else I should do apart from keep her dosed up and drinking plenty of fluids? She isn't keen on eating at all.

(I have just had similar thing that lasted over a week so thinking it's probably just same thing and manage symptoms?)

Yes, they think she is asthmatic, we have blue inhaler and spacer from chest infection a couple of months ago that they said to use if she had anything hit her chest again but didn't tell us how much. Hence the call to the GP, when they gave it to us at hospital was only really thinking about getting her well then iyswim. He said 4-5 puffs every four hours and take her in if chest starts recessing which it hasn't thus far.

She has been sick from coughing so much poor little mite :( it's horrible seeing her feeling so rough.
