Hi, my six weeks old baby boy's cheeks, ears, and chin are lighter in color compare to the remainder of his face and body. This is the result from baby acne. What will help with this discoloration of his skin to even out? Please help!

have you been given treatment for the acne in the past.

Yes. I was prescribed ketoconazole 2% cream for treatment. The cream dried out the acne and peeled. And now the used to be infected area is lighter than the remainder of his face. His Nurse practitioner said to leave it alone but I'm concerned.

the ketoconazole shouldnt have affected the colour but i would still ask to see a dermatologist

Thank you. Family members are suggesting glycerin. I have researched on the benefits of using glycerin but have to to find that it helps with discoloration. Any suggestions?
