Decongestants for 16 week old

DS has caught my cold (am EBF) and have given calpol, but can hear he is blocked up, whats the best thing to do to help, is he too young for vicks vaporub? can i put some olbas oil in bowl in the room near where he is sleeping?

Ask a pharmicist... I think you can get Karvol on a cloth in the same room with him, that's about as good as it gets.

saline drops and sprays can be used for babies - I have seen them in the supermarket and the chemist. Karvol and olbas oil can be used from 3 months - you can use drops or vaporisers.

thanks. i have a karvol vapouriser from when i was pregnant so will use that tonight.

seonas info is correct. Snufflebabe is a bit milder than vicks ,but check age as i cant remember. too tired.
