eyes roll back before vomiting

My dd2, aged 4yrs, has been vomiting since midnight tonight but before she is sick her eyes roll back in her head and she goes limp. I have had to pull her up to make sure she doesn't choke on it.

As soon as she has vomited, she's fine.
Any ideas what would cause this? I have rang nhs direct and am waiting for a call back.

she is warm but not have a fever. She's dropped of to sleep now but is twitching a little in her sleep which she doesn't normally do.....

Hi there Lady

poor DD!

Try not to worry too much - it probably looked more scary than it actually is!

Have NHS called back?

Ladygooga · 01/10/2010 04:05

No not yet, they said it'll be within the hour

also, trust your instincts. There is only so much they can guess over the phone.

If you are really worried, never be afraid to drive to A&E, or even call an ambulance.

I am sure you don't have to go that far, and that most probably, sleep is the best thing for your DD, but that is what the emergency services are there for..

do you think it is a D&V bug that DD has?

Ladygooga · 01/10/2010 04:23

nurse rang back and basically said just keep an eye on her. At least she is sleeping now.

Not sure if its a bug or not, she has recently started full time school so may have picked something up from there.

She's most upset about not going to school tomorrow for her 1st school pic. Not a good start to school life as she missed the first day of school to go to the fracture clinic after breaking her arm, good timing or what!
