Rust coloured sick?

Just heard a squeak from 4 m/o ds who was napping in his cot. He was COVERED in sick, big pool around him, some of which is brownish/ rust coloured and it's watery. He's not a sicky baby so it's caught me by surprise, just stripped and cleaned (yuck it stunk) and he seems absolutely fine. What causes it to go this colour? He hasn't eaten in a while so it smelt quite sour.

Food? Calpol? Sounds pretty normal to me. Sometimes they even sleep through the vomiting/pool of sick. Amazing. I think baby sick smells worse than any other age group tbh. Maybe the milk content!

No food, no calpol (he's bottle fed exclusively).
Strange.

Not really. Since eating his stomach has got to work on the milk and changed it to a substance unrecognisable to humans. The kinds of sick to be concerned about are dark green or looks like it has coffee grounds in it. I wouldn't worry about a one off vomit, children live for these moments of surprise. Wink
