Bad reflux in 5mo

Hi. My ds was born 4 weeks early, now 5.1mo. I'm getting to the end of my tether with his reflux. Poor little boy. I'm thinking of weaning him very soon. He's on nutramigen, which has helped with his painful tummy. But he's also been on gaviscon which has been no help. Started domperidone 2 weeks ago, still no difference! His milk just pours out of him & i'm changing his clothes about 8 times during the day. Luckily he's gaining weight & is very chubby.

My little boy was on a formula called Enfamil A.R. (anti reflux) which we used instead of gaviscon. I would try it, perhaps we were just lucky, but it worked for us. It's got rice starch in it so it thickens up in their tummy (at least this is natural, not a drug). But cut out the gaviscon, don't think you can use both at once.

Thankyou! I'll ask about it at his next appt.

Oh and there's a good book I found useful - called The Sensational Baby Sleep Plan - by Alison Scott-Wright. Has a lot of useful guidance on dealing with reflux.
