Possible chicken pox - will we be able to fly?

My 14-month-old baby woke us up this morning giggling as usual. Looked closer and saw red small spots on one side of his head, bigger ones in his ear and under scalp, then more on back and groin. They seem to have got a bit lighter during the day. He's slightly sleepier than usual, but this isn't unusual at weekends as he likes to catch up on his sleep. No temperature, really good mood, great appetite. Could it be anything other than chicken pox? It's now Saturday and we're due to fly shorthall next Sunday. What are the chances of us being able to fly? Thanks.

Well you wont be able to fly if it is chicken pox and it does rather sound like it is.

All you can do is wait and see if he is covered tomorrow....

if it is chicken pox then you should be ok for next sunday as it takes 5-7 days for the spots to come out and crust over, at which point they are no longer contagious
