V&D for 7 days - should I be doing anything more?

DD is 4, and has had V&D since last Monday morning.

There is a bug going round at her school and I know that several of her classmates were off for the whole of last week.

I haven't taken her to the GP (I didn't think that they would appreciate having the bug spread around the surgery!). I have been giving her Dioralyte and making sure that she is drinking plenty of water (when she isn't throwing it up).

It has now been a week, and I am wondering if there is anything else I should be doing. She is fine in herself, in fact she is downright bored with being stuck at home. She is sleeping a bit more than usual and did have a temperature at the beginning of last week, but doesn't now.

She hasn't actually had diarrhea or vomited so far today so I am hoping that she has turned the corner.

Am I doing the right thing just sitting it out or should I be doing something more?

You know you can have a telephone appt with your GP so you don't need to go in, just if you want to discuss anything with them.
