Mini Measles advice please

ds2 had the MMR 11 days ago just before he turned 19 months.

He's been off colour for about 4 days now, feverish and very unsettled, and today he's broken out in an all over rash of raised spots. He's also had diarhea since the fevers started.

I know mini measles is common enough but i'm unsure how i should be treating him, i've been dosing with baby Neurofen when the fever gets bad but is there any point bringing him back to the doctors or should i just wait it out?

When dd had MMR vaccine, paediatrician told us that she could get a light form of measles and/or rubella some time after the vaccine and just treat with Calpol and Calprofen. We were lucky and she didn't get it, but I suppose it is relatively common. However, given that it is Friday I would call the GP for advice. Good luck and hope he'll feel better soon.

thanks dikkertje dap (gosh that name brings back memories!), I was lucky with my elder two that they never had a reaction to the MMR so i completely failed to ask the nurse what to do if he did get mini measles [blsuh].... i'll give a ring after lunch i think and ask her as I know she's there doing appointments in the afternoon.
