Lump on DS (age 2) penis

Found a lump today under the foreskin on my sons penis when I was changing him. It is about the size of a petit pois and can move around. It did not seemm to annoy/hurt my DS when I did this.

I phoned the Doctor and he gave us an appointmnet straight away, checked it out himself and has referred us to a specialist in Paediatric Urology who is going to give my son an ultrasound to determine what it is. The Doctor said he did not think it was anything sinister but we needed to have it checked to see what is is any whether it was likely to go away by itself or would require surgery to remove it. The appointment with Paed Urologist is in 2 weeks time, they said that was the first appt available and did not see any need to rush to make an "emergency" appt to speed it up.

Has anyone been through similar? The Doctor thought it is likely to be a swollen/infected lymph gland or just a random mass of fatty tissue but the ultrasound would clear that up. I am trying to remain positive but am obviously worried too.

I just dont know what to expect :(
