how long should cold last?

My DS is nearly 9 months. Has two bottom teeth and the top two are just cutting through. For around ten days he has had a cold, green snot, little bit chesty and bit whingey on and off and the worst is the sleepless nights. I've been using karvol capsules, vicks, eucalyptus oil the works to keep his passages clear so he can rest properly. Occasionally giveing him calpol.

It seemed like it was going but looks like it is back again.... is this normal teething? Will it go when the teeth cut?

Feel so helpless and hate seeing him not well.

Hi sometimes when it seems like a cold comes back again they can perhaps have a chest infection.
If it was me I would pop to the doctors just to be sure.
Hope he is feeling better soon, and he doesnt get a cold about every six weeks like my dd.

Thanks I will pop him to docs as he is coughing a bit too now.
