Hi, new to this forum, but just wondered if I'm going completely mad(well MadderHmm)my 17th month old had horrendous constipation about 3 months ago which resulted in anul tear, nightmere lasted nearly 8 wks, I think it was due to introduction of whole milk, as it occurred after had had bottle of milk each morn for 3 days,Dr says couldn't be cos formulas' contain same basic stuff as whole milkConfused.
Now I disagree cos I thought the whole reason babies couldn't have whole milk before 1yr was due to inability to digest it etc.
Anyway I tried to slowly introduce again recently using fromage fraise, & again have had prob, the only thing that helps her is a small dose of syrup of figs.
Anyone else have problem with whole milk.
Thanks.

Have you enquired about non-cows milk? Soya or goats perhaps. Sounds like there is some sort of intollerance to me, and you can't keep using syrup of figs (or apricots) for ever!
