DD has one, never had one before. Can she walk round the house in bare feet or does she need socks on?

Or when I get her some of the bazooka vericca stuff does that form a barrier? Is that the best stuff to use?

Thanks.

warts are viral and therefore are contagious to a lesser degree than other viruses though.

bazuka will form a barrier.how old is DD ? i found it didnt work on DS2 and had to use Avoca wart treatment which worked really well

Viva, why don't you take her to the gp? they can freeze the wart for you and have had lots of practise, alternativley you can get rid of it useing the duct tape method here It worked for me and I know others who have done this too. Good luck :)

I caught a verucca from DH (who probably got his from the local swimming pool). I only walk around bare foot at home so this was the only way I could have caught it. So, I would say your DD should wear socks at home until hers is gone.

Thanks, will get her wearing socks. She's 9. It never crossed my mind to go to the GP, when I was young the GP refused to do verucca freezing and my mum had to pay a private chiropodist to do it, it was expensive and took 5 or 6 treatments to get rid of it. I remember it being agony.

So I thought that bazuka or similar would be better.

ds1 and i are prone to verrucas (and all things warty, mmmm), dh and ds2 however have never caught them from us... so i suspect they while they are indeed contagious, some people are just much more susceptible to them than others... bazuka works well for us, as does the scholl home freezey stuff available from boots!
