3 year old woke up this morning with huge upper eyelid swelling - like a boxer post fight!

went to doc who prescirbed fusidin cream drops - no fever then but tonight obvious stye developoing in redness and fever 38.5 degrees..could only put drop in oncer and now screams at idea of drops so put some on top of lid during sleep in hope some gets in

no way could even get close with tube

been cranky but eating

could this be cellultitis? or simply a stye gone too far?

shall i wake him up to give second dose of painkillers or let him sleep?

though he is whinin a bit in his sleep?

bit worried

It sounds like cellulitis, I'd pop him back to the GP. Im sorry that I didn't see this earlier.

Agreed, with the fever take him back.

not sure what was in end as a big pimple did appear on eylid and then 39-40degree fever lasted day and half and now subsiding

thanks for all advice though

if fever had not dorpped down would have taken back to docs as recommended
