Propranolol - complications for children?

My 10 year old daughter gets a lot of headaches. She has been to the doctors a number of times and found no real cause. New locum this week has prescribed Propranolol 10mg 3 times a day.

I have read the leaflet in the tablets and am not sure about them - contra indications are not excessive but she is only 10 and they are basically beta blockers.

Anyone (ideally medical) able to advise please?

My DS took a high dosage of propanolol from 9 months until he was about 4 (heart condition not headaches). the only side effect we really noticed was disturbed sleep and in particular nightmares. We ended up changing to another beta blocker as a result which has been fine.
