I dont want to google. Took DD2 to GP as she seems very tired alot, I wasnt too worried but thought best to check anyways. Blood results are back and she has low white cell count and low proteins in kidney tests, think thats what they said. Made appointment to see GP at his request.
What could it mean? She doesnt seem unwell just very tired and rather spend time on sofa than playing.
GP suggested M.E or CFS, but dont know much about them
TIA

shes only 2years old, is that possible. I remeber having this as a teen wasnt nice at all.

Low white cell count can mean her immunity is low at the moment, has lots of different causes though and there are different types of white blood cells. IIRC Low protein can be associated with coeliac - is this something that could be a problem for your daughter? Def sounds like she needs further investigation, might be worth asking for a coeliac screen, its a simple blood test (I know no blood test is simple for a 2 y o believe me but still).

Any other signs or symptoms?like swelling around the eyes or ankles?

lisad123isgoingcrazy · 25/08/2010 17:39

GP said its fine Hmm her results arent too bad and nothing to worry about, so why ask to make appointment?? could have told me that over phone!

Oh no if you're anything like me you're going to worry about it anyway! Maybe see how she is in a couple of weeks and then ask for more tests if no improvement. I take it the iron levels were ok anyway?

lisad123isgoingcrazy · 25/08/2010 21:34

iron levels were fine as were thyriod tests. im not too worried as she seems fine within herself just lazy! will see how she is in few weeks,
