Took DD2 to GP last week as she seems to spend time either asleep on laying on the sofa. I wasnt too worried but thought she might be lacking in a vits or something. He has sent her for blood tests which she had over the weekend. But he said she could has CFS, I thought this was linked with other disorders like ME and normally effected teens upwards.
JUst to give you an idea she sleeps from 6.30pm till betweeen 5-6am. She then spends the morning veggin on sofa, then back for a 2-3 hour nap at 11am ish. If other kids are around she would still lay on the sofa rather than play with them, or even talk to them.
TIA

Sorry do you mean Cystic Fibrosis? Hope you get all sorted, it does sound a lot of rest, at least your DR is being helpful.

How long has she been like this? Is this after a virus or has it just started by itself? My 2.9 yr old has about the same sleep as your DD (if not more) and similar symptoms, we have recently been told he has low iron (now on supplements). Feel awful as I had been forcing him to walk loads and not go in the pushchair thinking he was a bit lazy.

I'm surprised he suggested CFS tbh, in a child that young much more likely to be anaemia or just a bit run down if recently had a virus.

She has had alot of virus when younger 2 of which meant stays in local childrens ward, last one was a good 8 months ago and nothign recently. He meant Chronic Fatuige Syndrome (sp?). I thought anaemia but he said no, spemthing about eyes.
Will call for test results in a few days.
