Chicken pox - how to ease ds at bathtime ?

Hello , my 3yr ds has the pox , and not looking forward to bathing him when h;s irritable !.I've heard that a little of Bicarbonate of soda in the bath helps ?? is that true ?

Yes it is and it does. I liberally sprinkled some into some water and it did seem to soothe her skin.

Although make sure the water isnt too warm. My poor DD had nasty pox in her nether regions and the poor love was so sore :(

The water will help take the sting out if he is a little sore down stairs.

Plus as much calomile as your ds will allow you put on. You could also try puriton if your not using that already.

I think it does. Also, oats are very soothing. Put some porridge in a an old pair of tights and tie under the tap, so that the water runs through it. Makes the water very soft - I think it's hard water that irritates skin.
