Toddler rash

My 14mo DD had a really high temp over the weekend was @40.5 most days, came down with calpol & nurofen but nit calpol alone. took her to the docs on Monday who said nothing obvious so just keep an eye on her.
Tuesday nose started running and temp still up but nit as high.

She didn't eat much at all Sunday/Monday but appetite is starting to pick up again.

Tonight temp ok but nose very runny and she has a little cough. She also now has a rash all up her back, over her shoulders & down her tummy. Nothing on her buttocks arms, legs or face. She doesn't seem bothered by it. Looks a bit like a cross between excema & an allergy.

I plan on taking her to the docs tomorrow if I can get an appt but just wondered, is it likely to be a viral thing? How fo you know?

When do you worry about rashes, would you always seek docs advice or wait a bit & see if it goes away?

PFB with first rash so please excuse the probably stupid questions.

TIA

Should add we did the glass test as soon as we noticed it and it disappears, so not worried about meningitis.
