low eosinophils - any experience/advice?

DS1 (aged 2.4) has had blood tests done due to lethargy, palour and general malaise over an 8 week period. I'm relieved to say that the tests have come back mostly normal. However, his eosinophil count was low. Apparently this is linked to allergy, although the GP said it should be high not low. He was suggesting that either DS1's body is using them up too fast or not making enough in the first place. He has suggested a RAST test to look for various common food intolerances (which do run in the family). Certainly since having a stomach bug at the start of all this, DS1 has complained of tummy ache if we give him a glass of milk, but has seemed not to complain when given cheese, yoghurt etc..

Does anyone have any experience of this result? Could anyone tellme anymore info? Thanking you in advance.

Thanks Pixie. I was wondering this and hoped you'd come along! Will wait for the results and then take some advice about how to exclude it carefully. I'm sure it's not a true allergy so am expecting it to come back clear.
