unexplained rash spots?

my son has just all of a sudden broke out in this rash its all over his arms legs and theirs a little bit on his face and bottom of his ears, could this be chicken pox as i have no idea what chicken pox looks like
theirs just loads of little red bumps every where ive rubbed a glass over it and they do dissapear

Chickenpox is more distinct spots - insect bites turning to scabby spots. Has he been unwell , could be post viral if so.

and i cant see it being an alergic reaction as ive not changed soap powder shower gels ect...

and no hes not been unwell hes actualy been picture of health since he finished up nursery for summer holidays not even caught a cold

Are they on his hands & feet, it could be foot & mouth 2 of my dc have had it not very serious

no theirs nothing on his hands or feet at all
