How long after baby teeth fall out does it take for adult teeth to show through?

Seems a few weeks since DD lost her first tooth and 2nd is on its way out.

No sign of the adult teeth yet - normal or not? dentist??

TIA

It's taken months for DD's teeth to all come through properly. I think the reason for this is she pulled them out at the first sign of wobbliness because she wanted the money rather than because the teeth were actually ready to fall out. Could your DD have done the same?

I think it varies between children and between teeth but if it's only been a matter of a few weeks I wouldn't be worrying just yet, a few months and no signs then I might be concerned.

First one fell out when she had an apple - she got the shock of her life!

Thanks - new territory this

Similar thing happened to my DD, a gingerbread man with a hard baked smartie on it did the job for her.

My dd's was an apple too.

Her 2 bottom teeth came out within a couple of weeks of each other, the adult teeth started showing a week or so after that.

no wobberly teeth since then

My Ds front tooth came out and the new one took 14 months to come through. The gum had completely healed and took ages to break. So don't panic just yet.

Thank all

My DS is 11 and last night one of the huge buggers at the back fell out, leaving a massive hole, and you could just see the tips of the next molar coming!

Thank you - this thread could persuade my DD to eat apples at last - at 6.5 she is desperate for a tooth to fall out...

DD1 lost a front tooth on NYE, no sign of a tooth yet. The one next to it came out about a month later and the new tooth is just appearing.
Poor DD1 is very gappy but she does like them pulled out as soon as they are wobbly enough. Don't think they would stay in much longer anyway.
