Hi my wee baby is full of mucous which is making him gag and choke and somtimes stop breathing briefly. Have tried nasal drops and steamy rooms. he vomitted up a lot of mucous on sat night and seemed better on sun but its come back again today. Doctor says there is nothing he can do. Anyone got any ideas? Will it go away on its owm? If so how long will it take?

I think the GP is wrong to say there's nothing he can do in such a small baby, especially as the baby is choking and stopping breathing.
I would ring your midwife and ask her.
I know in Germany it's common to have a nasal bulb to get rid of the muscus but not sure here.

In the mean time, try to keep the baby upright whenever you can and try to take him to a registered cranial osteopath. Was he born by c-section? If yes, then it wouldn't surprise me as when they're lifted out by section, rather than making the journey through the birth canal, they do tend to be more muscus-y.

I would defo get midwife to give tips or take for 2nd opinion to another gp in practice.
