PLEASE HELP - Use by date on liquid antibiotics

DD had scarlet fever last week. Was given antibiotics and was better theis week until today when she has a sore throat and the rash that seemed to have faded seems red again.

I have antibiotic left over from Mon but the bottle say ' Discard after 7 days' I wanted to give it to her and take her to GP on Mon. Anyone know if they are ok after 7 days. The bottle is 12 days old.

You might need a different antibiotic if this one hasn't worked, so best to see dr again IMO. Sorry, I know it's going to be a huge pain at the weekend.

You could always ask a pharmacist, more likely to still find one of them on duty this time on a Fri night...

According to internet she should have been on a 10 day course but doc said 7 days. Therin lies the problem I think. Also it could just be a cold as ds has a cold.
