DD is 10 months and for a couple of months I have noticed lumps behing her nipples. They are not hard but not squiggy either. they dont hurt her either. Worried about precocious puberty (damn google) as she is hairy too. DD1 was/is also hairy but no 'buds' although, annoyingly, I can't remember if she had them as a baby! Any experiences?

Hi,

Just wanted to say that I had similar worries about my DD when she was the same age. I asked HV about it and she suggested I took DD to the hospital to be checked at the children's clinic. A paediatrician looked at her and said all completely normal. She said something about baby girls being affected by the rising/falling hormone levels as they grow but absolutely nothing wrong with her. My DD wasn't especially hairy, but had the buds. Now she is older, they have gone down.
If you are worried, getting her checked would prob put your mind at rest.
