He's only got one top incisor so far, but it looks like it's coming down behind his bottom teeth. I noticed today that the gum behind his bottom teeth is all lacerated. I rang my dentist who just said to put bonjela on it, that they don't see children until they are 3 and it's a long while before orthodontics would be considered.
Not that I'm suggesting he should be in a brace at the age of 11 months, but is he going to have to live with sore gums for years? And how will this affect his weaning? He'll munch on breadsticks etc but in general is reluctant to try much finger food. Anyone with any experience / advice?
